As Senior Vice President Corporate Affairs, Scott leads all external facing operations for Huawei Canada, including government & stakeholder relations and media affairs. Scott is also the chief spokesperson for Huawei in Canada. He plays a strategic role in supporting Huawei’s expansion in the Canadian marketplace, and is a regular speaker and moderator on policy matters related to 5G, and on Canada-China business issues.
Scott has over 20 years experience in Public Affairs, Government Relations and Business Development in Ottawa. Scott began his career as a political advisor to the Federal Minister of Health and Minister of Public and Government Services, and since 1997, has held executive roles in a number of regulated sectors and companies, including Bell Canada and Canadian Airlines.
Scott holds an MBA from Queen’s University, and a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario. He is currently a member of the Board of the Canada China Business Council, and the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association. He has also serves as past-Chair of the CWTA 5G Canada Council.
