Christian Toche has more than 30 years’ experience in the Information Technology and Telecommunications industries.
He joined Cap Gemini in 1985 and worked 4 years on development and testing in the Software Engineering area. He was involved in Wireless Operation and Maintenance from 1989 when he joined Matra Communication, which became part of Nortel Networks in 1992.
In 1997, he joined the Nortel Networks System team and contributed to the GSM and UMTS Radio Access Network functional requirements and specifications.
From 2001, hewas responsible for the OAM Standards and Partnerships within the Nortel Networks Wireless Internet Solutions organization, notably in charge of the cooperation with Nortel China R&D in Beijing. He was located in Beijing from 2004 to 2005 and was focused on China Market specific requirements in addition to his Standards responsibilities.
Christian Toche joined Huawei Technologies in 2006 and is currently leading the Huawei Wireless Standards activity in Europe. He was responsible for ETSI matters in Huawei since 2014.
Since the year 2000 he has been involved in 3GPP. He started participation in 3GPP SA5 in September 2000 and has been participating in all SA5 meetings from that time.
He have been active in the 3GPP leadership since 2002, with three years as 3GPP SA5 vice chairman from 2002 to 2005, ten years as 3GPP SA5 chairman from 2005 to 2015, and four years as 3GPP TSG SA vice-chairman from 2013 to 2017.
Christian Toche is elected ETSI Board member supported by Huawei Technologies since November 2017.Back to previous page
