Sam Samuel

Louis “Sam” Samuel joined Cisco in April 2013 and is currently the Mobility CTO for Cisco. Sam is responsible for the 5G technology evolution of mobility which covers such topics as: enterprise – service provider 5G architectures, edge clouds, evolution of cloud native access systems, network slicing, autonomic management of cellular networks (via the application of SON technologies), policy and identity, and their wider interaction with network applications and services.
Prior to joining Cisco, Sam held several posts in Alcatel-Lucent. Among these were the posts of Chief Architect for Alcatel-Lucent’s Software, Solutions and Services Business Group (S3G). In this role, Sam was responsible for the strategic technical leadership of S3G, which covered a wide remit of areas from software architecture innovation in S3G products to innovation of Services. Before this, Sam was the Executive Director of Bell Labs Ireland and UK (2008-2011) where he was responsible for the leadership and technical direction of Bell Labs in Ireland and the UK and ensuring that Alcatel-Lucent delivered on its commitments to the Irish Government.
Sam attended Queen Mary College, University of London, receiving a MEng in Communication Engineering in 1995 and a PhD in the application of Non-Linear Dynamics to Teletrafic Modelling in 1999.

Peter Zhou

Chief Marketing Officer
Huawei Wireless Solution

Dr. Yuefeng Zhou is Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for Huawei’s Wireless Solution. Dr. Zhou leads marketing strategy, marketing programs, brand building and demand generation across Huawei’s portfolio of wireless network products and solutions.

Dr. Zhou joined Huawei Technologies Co.,Ltd. in 2008, and has held several senior leadership positions including Director of Mobile Innovation Center (MIC) for the Wireless Network Product Line Management Department in Europe, Chief Operation Officer for the FDD LTE Product Line, and President of Small Cell & Wi-Fi Wireless Networks.

Dr. Zhou has worked in the telecommunications industry for over 16 years and has extensive experience across planning, R&D, production, marketing and services. In 2000, Dr. Zhou began his career in telecoms-related R&D and before joining Huawei he worked for Fujitsu Laboratories Europe and NEC Europe.

Dr. Zhou received his PhD degree from the University of Edinburgh in UK. He also holds the MSc and BEng degrees from Xi’an Jiaotong University in China.

Greg Wynans

Greg was responsible for strategic marketing of PMC-Sierra’s flagship SONET/SDH product line, and the launch of five successful products for optical networking infrastructure and cellular backhaul networks, including the world’s first single-chip Add/Drop Multiplexer. After completing his MBA in 2005 he consulted in a marketing and operations capacity for a number of businesses before joining Veridae Systems in 2010 as VP of Marketing and Sales (Acquired by Tektronix). As VP of Marketing for Riot Micro, Greg is responsible for strategic product planning, promotion, and business development activities.

Geng Wu

Dr. Geng Wu is an Intel Fellow and a Chief Technologist for Intel Wireless Technologies and Standards. He leads Intel’s 5G wireless standards and technology development, and works extensively with global research and development community and ecosystem partners. Dr. Wu’s current focus areas include future generation network architectures and devices including automotive, new air interface design and performance evaluation, and end-to-end optimization for mobile services and applications.

David Woodcock

David Woodcock is the VP Sales & Business Development for Colony Networks. In this role, he is responsible for the company’s market-facing activities through partner channels such as network operator and integrators, as well as direct customer relationships. Additionally, David works to expand Colony’s business relationships with new partners, both from a commercial and technology perspective.

David has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry in roles spanning systems engineering, product management and sales in both Canada and the United States. His deep technical background and strong customer focus has led to success across many markets such as network engineering, mobile devices, wireless hardware development, consumer electronics, professional services and enterprise software.

David has a degree in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from Queen’s University.
